SUMMARY:FIRST AID AWARENESS COURSE
DESCRIPTION:Do you often wonder how you would cope in a medical emergency? This one-day course provides a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most circumstances\, giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.  At the end of day you will be given a certificate to show your new skills. \nThe training will be provided by Acacia Business Services\, a local consultancy with many years of health and safety experience. \nEmergency First Aid at Work course contents is: \n\nLegislation and responsibilities in an emergency\nPrimary survey\nRecovery position\nResuscitation and AED\nChoking\nBleeding and Shock\nSeizures\nBurns and scalds\nForeign objects\n\nParticipants will need to be fit and able enough to kneel on the floor to take part in the training.  Appropriate casual\, comfortable clothing and footwear should be worn. \nPlease bring a packed lunch and a mug for tea/coffee. \nNon members welcome.
