DESCRIPTION:Are you new to the roles or just thinking of taking on the role of President or Secretary?  You will hopefully find these sessions useful.  All WI Presidents\, Secretaries and committee members are welcome to attend these sessions.  As well as covering roles\, any updates on procedures and dispelling myths\, these events are great for problem solving and networking. \nWe have four sessions available:-\nTue 16/6/26 – Evening Zoom 7-9pm\nSat 27/6/26 – WI Centre/Hybrid 10-12noon – Postponed to 22nd August\nSat 21/11/26 – Morning Zoom 10-12noon\nSat 18/7/26 – Harold Wood Memorial Hall 10-12noon Cancelled \nIf you are attending in person at WI Centre\, the address is Whiteland\, Terling Road\, Hatfield Peverel\, CM3 2AG (What3words public.barstool.escorting).  Free parking available. \nIf you are attending in person at Harold Wood Memorial Hall\, the address is 53 Gubbins Ln\, Romford RM3 0PU (What3words voice.scan.chat). Free parking available – go down Rosslyn Avenue\, right into Peel Way\, right into Holdbrook Way and all the way to the end.  The hall is also a two minute walk from Harold Wood station. \nYou only need to attend one session as they are all the same. \nPlease bring your own mug for tea/coffee if attending WI Centre. \nThis is a member only event.

SUMMARY:Silk Painting - talk and have a go
DESCRIPTION:Continuing our Heritage Crafts theme\, tutor Elitta Fell will give a talk on silk\, it’s history and today’s techniques and applications. After a short lunch break\, you get to ‘have a go’ painting on pre-prepared silks. These could be suitable for framing or using as greetings cards. No requirement to be able to draw\, just enjoy playing with colours. All materials supplied. Elitta will also have a few of her painted silks for purchase. \nThere will be a short lunch break so please bring a packed lunch. \nNon members welcome £29 \nPlease bring a mug for tea/coffee.
