DESCRIPTION:The walk will commence from the Village Hall in Wickham St Pauls at 10.15 for a 10.30 start. (FINISH TIME IS WHENEVER WE FINISH!!)\n\n\n \n\n\nWe will go down dale and up hill over local farmland and then make our way down to Bulmer Brock and Tile Co. Here the walk continues through the yard and past two kilns\, where we will be met by owner Peter Minter. He will give us a 10 minute talk about what is going on around us. We may get a chance to see the clay site and go inside and unfired kiln. Well walk onto Wiggery Wood \, taking a circular route over the farmland back to Wickham St Pauls.\n\n\n \n\n\nRefreshments will be available in the Village Hall on our return\, where you can enjoy your own lunch. Snacks and lunches may be obtained nearby. the victory Inn is nearby with their pub garden looking over the village green\, plus Spencer Fruit Farm and Coffee Shop also serves delicious meals prepared with local produce.\n\n\n \n\n\nWIckham St Pauls WI will also be running games of “New Age Kurling” all afternoon in the Village Hall from 1pm. everyone is invited too watch and play this challenging and fun sport. If you would like WSP WI to bring “New Age Kurling” to your WI\, you can book them there and then!\n\n\n \n\n\nPrice is £3.00 including Tea and Biccies.\n\n\n \n\n\nClosing date is the 23rd of May.\n\n \n

There will be five or six different speakers who will give a shortened version of their usual presentations. As always there will be an opportunity to ask questions and to complete a short questionnaire giving your thoughts about the speakers’ suitability for WI meetings. \nDo come along on Friday 11 May 2018 from 10.00am for coffee with a 10.30am start to 3.30pm at the WI Centre. Tickets cost £7.00 each\, (including tea and coffee on arrival and during lunch only) are available from the WI Centre. Please bring a packed lunch. \n\nPlease note:• These days are arranged to help Institutes find new speakers for their meetings. It is\, therefore\, expected that Institutes will pay the cost of the ticket for one member to attend.• However\, due to the increased demand for New Speaker Day tickets\, if a ballot has to be held\, ticket numbers will be restricted to two per WI\, with priority given to those previously unlucky in the ballot.

DESCRIPTION:Using one stitch this workshop will give participants the opportunity to creatively design and stitch a series of sample vignettes under the experienced tutorship of Karen Odinga. This is your chance to explore the basic embroidery stitches in a brand new way that is unique to you. DESCRIPTION:This workshop will be lead by tutor Michelle Turner and is designed for those who are new to Tunisian Crochet.\n\n\n \n\n\nDuring the day\, you will learn the starting rows\, the basic stitch\, how to keep straight edges and how to finish. ONce this has been mastered you will go onto the second most common stitch plus increases and decreases.\n\n\nYarn and hooks will be provided\, but if you have your own crochet hooks you need to bring sizes 4.5-7mm.\n\n\n \n\n\nTea and coffee wil be provided\, but please remember your packed lunch.\n\n\n \n\n\nClosing date is 22nd of Feb.\n\n\n \n\n\n10-3pm doors open at 9.45 £21.00 each

DESCRIPTION:The meeting will be full of interest\, with an inspiring talk from Mandy Hickson\, \nFormer fighter pilot with the RAF.  Mandy draws on her experiences with working in a team of elite fighter jet pilots. The importance of maintaining a calm demeanour under pressure\, as well as leading from the front to achieve the best results from one’s team.  Mandy has overcome great hurdles in her career. These experiences led her to co-found Inspiring Women for Work\, an organization that helps women rebuild the confidence they need to return to work and realise their full potential after a career break. \nThe Afternoon entertainment will be West End Rat Pack!! \nWe will have Country Markets\, a variety of stalls for retail therapy and a bumper raffle    !!
