DESCRIPTION:Come and join us for a lovely lunch at the Clacton-on-Sea Golf Club. \nAfter a two course lunch we will have an interesting talk by Jane Harman who has been instrumental in setting up the female led group providing a floating bakery and workshops on one of the oldest Thames sailing barges.  The barge\, May\, has been restored as a community hub run by women for women who have experienced trauma www.thebreadandrosesbarge.com. \nWhy not also plan to have a pre-dinner drink on the patio or a stroll along the seafront to work up an appetite. \n\nNON MEMBERS WELCOME £23

SUMMARY:LINO PRINTING WITH WEE BOTHY ART
DESCRIPTION:The C&CC  team are very excited to offer for the first time a Lino Printing workshop with Eleanor Malinder of Wee Bothy Art www.weebothyart.com at WI Centre. You will be guided through the process of designing\, carving and printing your own Lino block. On completion of the course you will have a small edition of your own colourful prints and the knowledge and skills to continue your lino printing journey at home.\n\nYou will be able to work at your own pace and own skill level\, meaning you could use only one colour or create a reduction print using multiple colours and all the materials needed for the workshop are included in the cost.\nYou may wish to bring some of your own images to work from\, however plenty of inspiration will be at hand to help you decide. \nPlease bring a mug for tea/coffee and a packed lunch. \nNON MEMBERS WELCOME

DESCRIPTION:This event is sold out – please contact WI Centre if you would like to go on the waiting list \n \nCome and joing us for a lovely lunch overlooking the picturesque River Crouch in the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club\, Burnham on Crouch. \nAfter a two course lunch we will have an interesting talk from His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Essex Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst – the first women to be appointed to the office in the county since it was established in the 1500s. She is His Majesty the King’s personal representative in the county.
