Dolphin WI Heads Back to Ally Pally!
The Dolphin WI, got to display their knitted Braintree at Alexandra Palace again last week, at the Knitting & Stitching Show. You may have been lucky enough to see it for real at our Diverse Essex County Show in July. They started knitting it two years ago, when they first created St Michael’s Church. Since then they have replicated many more well known buildings from in and around Braintree. A big well done to The Dolphin WI from us all at FEWI – we’re very proud of you all – the skills they have demonstrated are truly amazing.

Can You Help Us?
Can you help solve a mystery? The wonderful piece of work shown in the picture was recently found at WI Centre. There wasn’t any covering paperwork with it giving details of who had made it or which WI they were from. We are hoping someone has information on the piece as it has now been cleaned & framed ahead of being put on display in the Federation’s meeting room. It would be great if it’s creator & WI could be mentioned alongside the work. If you have any clues please get in touch with the Archive Team via the Federation office.
