ACWW Women Walk the World Event with Hornchurch Harmonies

10.15am for a 10.30 start (Duration approx. 1 hour)
We are going on a short walk around Hornchurch Country Park, the walk will be led by one of the members of Hornchurch Harmonies and is to mark ACWW Day, the Associated Country Women of the World. The walk is to recognise and support women of the world who have to walk miles every day just to get clean water and food. We cannot imagine the hardships they have to endure just to live. We will not be alone on our walk as thousands of women around the world will be walking with the same aim.
Please come and join us to mark this special day. It will great opportunity to meet other WI members and please be assured the walk will be slow enough to allow us to have a good chat going round. After the walk feel free to leave or if you would like join us for a coffee or tea and a slice of cake the parks café is open.
We are asking for a small donation of £1 to be used towards the valuable work undertaken by the Associated Country Women of the World.
