Explore traditional smocking (a pleated and stitched technique) with Karen Odinga creating a decorative round bauble sampler. Your bauble can multi-task as a pretty hanging ornament for any season, depending on your colour choices! In addition to your bauble, other smocking techniques will be discussed showing traditional smocking stitches in a contemporary light.

Suitable for those with a knowledge of basic embroidery stitches.

Participants required to bring to the session:

• their usual sewing kit to include sharp embroidery scissors and sewing/embroidery needles that can be threaded with 2 – 3 strands of cotton embroidery floss.
• Magnifier and extra light if you require these
