Essex WI News
Federation Essex produces a monthly magazine called Essex WI News (EWIN). It is a subscription magazine and members can subscribe to receive it on annual subscription via their WI. We produce printed, digital, and talking versions of the magazine.
If you would like to contribute to the magazine, please email your content and photos to essexnews@essexwi.org.uk. Space permitting, we hope to publish all reports, but WI meetings are busy, informative and enjoyable so your challenge is to portray this to our readers in no more than 175 words in Word format. Please attach your photos separately (no collages please) – we are looking for happy smiling pictures of your members. If they have made crafts, please photograph members with their crafts, not just the crafts on a table. Please ensure you have the permission for publication of all persons appearing in photos.
The printed copies are delivered to WI Secretaries direct from the printers and the digital version is emailed to paid subscribers each month.
The talking version of the magazine is recorded by a wonderful volunteer team of WI members and the audio recordings are compiled, produced, and distributed by Chelmsford Talking Newspapers. We are very grateful to them for their help in enabling us to reach our blind or partially sighted members. Page 3 of the July 2023 edition (link below) has a little article about them.
