Following on from our successful Learn to Embroider class, the Cookery and Creative Crafts committee have organised a series of four three hour workshops for members wishing to develop their embroidery skills. This class is suitable for all members, perhaps you attended the beginners class and wish to progress further, maybe you already can do basic stitches and wish to extend your stitch knowledge or for those experienced stitchers this is your opportunity to complete another project. The tutor will be Pam Jermy who will lead the sessions, numbers are restricted so that each attendee will be assured of individual attention. Pam writes:
“An elegant “Hussif” is taken from a design by Beverley Sheldsick and will be embroidered using Cotton perle threads on Ivory cotton. Not only is the “Hussif” very pretty but also has a practical use, fitting snugly over the arm of a chair. With a pin cushion and pockets at both ends, it keeps all your sewing equipment to hand.
The price for the four sessions is £49.00 and includes the kit that will be completed over the sessions. All that you need to supply is:- Dressmakers pins; small scissors; notebook; pencil and rubber and a 20cm/8 inch embroidery hoop.
Tea/coffee will be served upon arrival and the federation shop will be open for purchases.
