Saffron Sumerfield – Medieval to Mississippi

A lively and entertaining show in which Saffron plays classical, Spanish and Mississippi Blues guitar music along with her own songs and tunes on 2 Guitars and South American Cuatro. There will also be a brief history of the guitar and anecdotes and stories from a career in music which included performing live on John Peel’s BBC Radio shows, writing songs for BBC R4’s Start the Week, 2 Chanel 4 films, touring with Long John Baldry in USA, and playing guitar with Blues musicians in Mississippi cotton fields
