CAROL CONCERTS 2025

We had a wonderful day in the Kings Road United Reformed Church, Westcliff on Sea.

We were entertained by local harpist Louise O’Connor and Chalkwell Hall Junior School choir in the afternoon and by Southend Vox and The Silver Darlings in the evening.  Our accompanist was Craig McGarrigle.

WI DAY 2025

WI members across Essex Federation, Hertfordshire Federation, Cambridgeshire Federation and Suffolk West Federation celebrated WI Day and 110 years of the WI in September by visiting Audley End House & Gardens. Members enjoyed tours of the house and grounds, and we were delighted that Jeryl Stone, the Chair of NFWI joined us to celebrate.

COUNTY ANNUAL MEETING 2025

On a glorious day in June, 450 members and guests gathered together in the Ivor Crewe lecture halls at the University of Essex In Colchester, and we would like to thank everyone for coming to a most successful day.  Thank you so much for all the lovely feedback we have received about the day.  Here are all the photos that we took – if you have more that you would like us to add please do email them in to admin@essexwi.org.uk.

NFWI Annual Meeting 2025

National’s Annual Meeting was entirely virtual this year which meant everyone watching in their own homes or attending a Watch Party with others.  We had a wonderful watch party at WI Centre which included bunting, cake and a bit of fizz.  Federation’s prize draw on the socials was very popular, and Rosa from The Brentwood Belles WI, multi-tasking with her baby was selected as the winner of a bundle of FEWI merchandise.  Next year’s NFWI AM will be held on Thursday 4th June 2026, look out for details of our Watch Party.

NFWI Annual Meeting 2024

Held at the Royal Albert Hall over 4000 members attended including over 100 from Essex.  The speakers were Nazir Afzal OBE, Spice Girl, Melanie Brown MBE (with Victoria Derbyshire) and actor Timothy Watson.

107th COUNTY ANNUAL MEETING 2024
