Waggle Hound Applique with Gary Mills on Zoom – CCC
November 20 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm£10
How to appliqué this adorable hound, “Waggle Tails”, will be demonstrated in a 1 ½ hour zoom session by textile artist and designer Gary Mills. This workshop with Gary is a ‘skills bomb’ of processes for you to learn. Tailored for the beginner in the art of firstly transferring the image, then how to use transfer adhesive for appliqué with free motion embroidery, it is a great start to get to grips with these addictive skilled processes; you will even learn how to hand tint with colour to finish off your outcome. This class is full of little cheats and how-to tips to get the best results from both yourself and your sewing machine. The outcome could be framed, would make a great panel for a quilt or even a cushion centre – Gary will discuss with you any ideas that come up during this workshop.
After booking you will be sent the fabric, equipment and supplies lists. The PDF pattern will be sent separately nearer the time. In this condensed workshop you can watch and follow the downloadable instructions and make notes as it goes along. The meeting will be recorded and available to you to watch online for 30 days. You will receive a link to the recording a day or two after the event. If you wish to take part during the event, please take time to read through the outline of the process to familiarise yourself and have everything readily to hand.
